At Lakeshore Trout Unlimited, we believe that the next generation of anglers and conservationists is key to preserving our coldwater resources for years to come. That's why we are committed to offering a variety of youth-focused programs and activities designed to inspire, educate, and engage young people in the outdoors. Whether it's casting a fly rod, learning about local ecosystems, or getting involved in hands-on conservation work, our youth programs provide valuable opportunities for kids and teens to connect with nature and become stewards of our watersheds.
Fishing Adventures for Youth
We offer a variety of fishing events and clinics tailored to young anglers. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fisher, these hands-on experiences are perfect for kids to learn essential fishing skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Our experienced volunteers provide instruction on: Casting techniques Fly-fishing basics Water safety and conservation practices By learning on local streams and lakes, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the sport of fishing, as well as an understanding of the importance of sustainable practices.

Youth Conservation Projects
Conservation is at the heart of everything we do at Lakeshore Trout Unlimited. We encourage youth participants to roll up their sleeves and get involved in local conservation efforts. Through guided projects, young people gain practical skills while making a tangible difference in their communities. These projects include:

Youth Education and Outreach

Summer Camps and Special Events
