Mullet River (Class II)
The Mullet River, a 40-mile long tributary of the Sheboygan River located in eastern Wisconsin, United States, flows into Lake Michigan via the Sheboygan. Draining a primarily agricultural area of 88 square miles in Wisconsin's Eastern Ridges and Lowlands region, the Mullet forms part of Lake Michigan's vast watershed.
The Mullet River originates from Mullet Lake in the town of Forest in eastern Fond du Lac County. It flows eastward into Sheboygan County, passing through the village of Glenbeulah and the city of Plymouth. In Sheboygan Falls, the river joins the Sheboygan River from the south. As of 2001, five dams regulated the river's flow. In western Sheboygan County's town of Greenbush, the Wisconsin Historical Society maintains a replica of the original Herrling Sawmill, which utilized the river for power between 1854 and 1910.
